Two Monarch butterflies, both males, emerged from their chrysalises and were released. The eggs were originally deposited on Swamp Milkweed plants grown in containers in our yard. Eggs were transferred to Swamp Milkweed plants in a cage to protect them, and developing caterpillars, from predators.
