After a fellow walker on the Lake Wobegon Trail told me about "a lot" of monarchs in one area along the trail, we checked it out this evening. We counted approximately 265 in several clusters in the trees along about a 1/2 mile stretch of the trail. The temp was around 66 degrees F. and there was no wind. This was between 8 and 9:00 in the evening. We had to use a flashlight because it was getting pretty dark by the time we were able to get out there to look.
