Monarch Fall Roost

Date: 08/26/2019

Number: 500

Not as many as last night but still a nice number of Monarchs. The largest roost was around 100, seven total. The wind switched here today and was WNW so I believe most of the Monarchs seen last night moved on today. We had 2" of rain overnight to add to the equation. Saw 45 on our grassland during a brief walk this afternoon and they were feeding on Meadow and Rough blazing star.
