Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/24/2019

Number: 2

We see one male and one female on a more or less regular basis. I do not think that they are Buckbeak (male who ruled the roost all summer) or Bella (his Queen). The male does not perch in Buckbeak's favorite spots and the female is not the graceful acrobat the Bella is. I suspect the Buckbeak and Bella are headed to beautiful Mexico for the winter, and that we are seeing their children. Feeders are emptying fast, so there must be others passing through on their way south, although lately I have not had much time to watch for them.
