I was spraying my plants with water in the shade of a tree when a female hummingbird flew by close to me. She kept coming back by the water spray and stayed in the spray while still suspended in the air to get cooled off and shake her feathers. She stayed by myself and the water spray for close to a minute and then flew away. I am so glad I was there to see her and give her a chance to get a refreshing rinse off. It was a very warm day about 85 degrees.
