A single Monarch butterfly was in some trouble on the lawn area seemingly unable to fly but alive.
Delicately raised it using a fine rake so as not to damage wings and allowed it to get airborne but it just flapped back down to the ground.
Have seen this before but not very often and, wonder if this is normal sign of one not healthy enough to make the journey south?
