On 8/25/2019 only saw about 2 or 3 monarchs all day in patches of Joe Pye Weed (JPW). They were almost exclusively males (at least the ones I observed).

On 8/27/2019, after a major rain event on 8/26/2019, followed by a cold front which passed through, the same JPW was host to over 30 monarchs, with a more expected equal ratio of males to females.
