We have a few stands of milkweed totaling about 200 plants in open fields. I spotted 13 larva most plump in late instar stages. But one in my photo was tiny early stage. Also of the 13, six were on a tiny outpost of just 12 milkweeds. Three have been on one plant since I noticed them four days ago.
