We have the same milkweed patch area where I collect and feed the caterpillars and then set them out. I have released 4, 3 male 1 female, however 1 had trouble flying. I currently have 5 in chrysalis that I will share with my students soon. We will tag some as well. Although many have said it is a plentiful year, our numbers have been significantly lower. Just as an aside many, many grasshoppers in the same field this year. We see 5-8 butterflies flying in the field daily.
