There was a Monarch flying around the yard on August 31. We can still see five chrysalis still hanging on gladioli leaves and the house siding. We also have three chrysalis in jars about to hatch. We counted 43 Monarch caterpillars on our milkweed in mid August. We did manage to locate 12 chrysalis.
