Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 09/01/2019

Number: 200

For the past three days monarchs have been continually flying westward by our tree-top-level condo balcony on the northern shore of Lake Michigan in Brevort. At one point this afternoon 6 flew by at the same time. At times they seem to come about 1 per 30 seconds. They also land in groups of perhaps 20 in or condo gravel parking lot. We've seen numerous monarchs flying along US 2 in the past two days, where they are frequently hit by cars.
