Saw one monarch around 5 p.m. Today is sunny, hot, breezy. This butterfly alighted only momentarily. I watched it float across my yard several time, up the street, back to my yard, but it didn't stop to nectar very much. I have butterfly weed still but wasn't able to determine if this was a male or a female and did not see it land on any of my butterfly weed.
