I was on a westbound train and an eastbound was passing on double main and the wind from the eastbound was blowing the limb on a tree about 15 feet high and I saw at least 7 monarchs trying to get back on the limb. Possible roost. A few trees along the tracks surrounded by corn and soybean fields. Winds calm. 78 degrees 6:31 pm.
I don’t know if this belongs in the fall roost category.
