On August 29, an itinerant adult male arrived in my garden. My resident males have been gone since mid-August, and I believe my adult females have also left. This little visitor is still here, which is the latest I have seen an adult male at this location. He feeds much more heavily and intently at the feeders than the juveniles, and I see him resting on branches after eating. He doesn't interact with the juveniles. Otherwise, he seems ok, and hopefully is just gaining strength for his big journey.
