It was a beautiful, sunny day with a light west wind. Temperature in the upper 70's. I counted 25 monarchs in the afternoon. They were scattered in the lower branches of the pine trees as I walked the property. I released one from a spider web outside the kitchen window. I will continue to keep watch for them.
