Monarch Fall Roost
Sightings report image

Date: 09/04/2019

Number: 51

At sunset, monarchs arrive to roost in the evergreen trees that border Eden Cemetery. They congregate in a couple trees in one corner. I count 25 on one tree's bare branches, and 14 already roosting in a nearby tree. More stream in from the north, one and two at a time, and fly around looking for just the right spot. An awesome sight!
