Fifth grade students at Carruthers Elementary are learning about the life cycle of the monarch butterfly. We found the caterpillar in the school's pollinator garden and took care of it by giving it fresh milkweed. "Buttercup" emerged from her chrysalis on Sunday and we wish her safe travels on her way to Mexico!
