Riding along Cannon River. Saw 20-40 adults flitting around large areas of Goldenrod around 6 pM in a 5-8 mph wind on the sunnyside of the river. Saw some eggs and caterpillers on surrounding milkweed but did not pick up to raise in my kitchen since I was advised that 9/13 was the cut-off date for releasing captive-reared Monarchs.
