Monarch Larva Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 09/07/2019

Number: 7

Despite finding another late stage absolutely black caterpillar corpse in the leaves 7 others have made it to 5th instar this week on the 3 large A. incarnata closest to the house Again none have survived so long on any other plants as far as I can see For the first time this season I don’t see any new eggs As many as 6 adults are seen in each flower patch at a time all day long They favor the zinnias and goldenrod and may be avoiding the boneset because it’s always abuzz with many different bee species of bees and wasps lately
