at 1800 hrs this monarch was drafting in place just above the elevator shaft at rooftop at HCC 10 Water Street. An interesting breeze at that elevation.
This monarch apparently still migrating although we thought a few minutes ago that some monarchs were settling to roost on approach to the wide Kennebec River. However, due to bridge, dam, and hydrostation, the river where this monarch crossed from E to W may not appear to be as significant a water barrier as the Kennebec River only a 0.5 mile downstream near the mouth of the Sebasticook River. More mysteries to resolve?
