Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 09/10/2019

Number: 1

I took this photo at 8:00am, 10 September 2019 and was happy to see her fly by, then return for a drink from the feeder hanging under the front porch. There was enough time to get my camera ready for this photo through my kitchen window. I had thought they might have already migrated as the mornings and evenings had turned cooler, and the pair were not visiting frequently as they did all summer, but so happy to see the female Ruby-Throated Hummingbird is still here, yesterday and today. A week ago, the pair flew about the feeder and had a good drink and I thought they were saying farewell -- but obviously one is still here!
