I’m not sure what constitutes a normal migration but it was a constant stream of monarchs throughout our weekend. At any given time there were at least 10 within eyesight
Editor's note: contacted observer for more details on this sighting
We were outside for the entire daylight hours On Sunday and Monday and we could see a dozen or so in the sky at any given time, increasing as the day warmed up. The peak viewing on Sunday was around 4pm when you could see them very high in the sky as well. They were all headed along the lake, which would be south-westerly from where we were. Definitely hundreds would be a fair estimate. Some of them dancing around us. It was magical.
