When Hurricane Dorian was predicted to skirt right along the east coast of Florida last week, my 3 hummingbirds seemed to disappear, so I thought maybe they'd decided to migrate early to avoid the storm. One larger female was back within one day, but seemed to be all alone. Then, on Sunday, 9/08, looked outside & saw her protecting "her" feeder from two more hummingbirds! Not sure if these were the regulars we already had here, or if possibly a couple who are migrating from further north.
