Monarch (OTHER Observations)
Sightings report image

Date: 09/10/2019

Number: 46

In the last few days I have seen too many monarchs to count; our nectaring field is divided off in sections, today I seen 46 in one area. After nectaring on goldenrod and other wild flowers of the season in the evening about 7:30 pm depending on the weather the monarchs are leaving our field one at a time and they go into a cottonwood tree staying all night but not all together like a roost, they are spread out under different leaves. When the sun comes out in the morning I see them here and there with their wing spread out. When leaving some are heading West, Southwest the same path that the fly by's are taking and others go back into the field to nectar.
