Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/09/2019

Number: 2

These have been regulars (the two males we had all Summer have moved on). I can't tell if these are competing females or a mother/fledgling but you can tell by their behavior around my feeders that they are comfortable here (not just passing through) but for sure chase each other off on occasion so are in competition of some sort. They're consuming a lot of nectar, that's for sure...no surprise. I've not seen a lot of hummers behaving as if they don't know our feeders, so I'm guessing I've not had a lot of transients.
