Monarch Larva Sighted

Date: 09/13/2019

Number: 3

We have lots of wild Milkweed in our garden, as well as one cultivated variety. We’ve brought branches with Monarch chrysalises in into our gazebo to prevent them from being eaten. One we’ve left on the Milkweed in a bottle of water in full sun. We’re trying to see which is the best way of protecting them. This makes a total of three chrysalises. However, our wild Milkweed has been completely eaten, so we believe that many of the Monarch butterflies that we’ve seen come from there!
