I just found this site after doing some searching about humming bird migration. This was my first year to put out a feeder. Although it took most of the summer until the hummers found it, once they did, they were regular visitors. Last week and the week before they were very active and were at our feeder non stop throughout the day. Over the last couple of days I noticed they haven't been around which lead me to my search about migration. I'm guessing based on what I've read, they have started their journey south! I have always loved seeing hummingbirds, but now after having had them as guests this summer and reading more about them I am a huge cheerleader for the little babies! I'm sad that I won't be seeing them anymore this year, but will eagerly await their return next year!
