Sept. 13th 2019 Monarchs flowing through Point Pelee National Park today from Northwest Beach at the north end of the Park down to the Tip. 1-2-3 up to 6 at a time. Monarchs also at NW Beach nectaring on Woodland Sunflowers. In a 2 hour period 12-2 pm counted 15 Monarchs every 30 seconds = 3,600 from both NW Beach & at the Tip flitting south on Strong ENE wind. Hot & humid 29 °c.
Most of the Monarchs at the Tip ventured out testing the wind & continued to journey SW out over Lake Erie. A few returned to the trees at the shoreline.
Thunderstorm arrived around 5:45 pm.
A count of 6 roosted overnight.
