Two lady monarchs were floating around the milkweed in the warm afternoon (around 80 degrees). They both laid a few eggs each! One was also very, very thirsty, taking in a lot of nectar on the Silky Gold milkweed and allowing me to come very near without fluttering away. Both seemed very young, colorful, no tatters or rips in the wings. I guess I'll have caterpillars again soon!
