We have been seeing new Monarchs on a daily basis, because we had so many caterpillars this year. We are aware of the whereabouts of 7 chrysalises in our yard and have been watching for developments. Today, this one came out of its chrysalis. This was a chrysalis I unknowingly disturbed while weeding the garden. I noticed a green oval rolling on the ground, and became quite upset about this accident. I had seen a video once telling that you can tie a string on the chrysalis and hanging it back up. I tried this and hoped for the best. Today we celebrated with this new Monarch!
