A bunch of juvenile ruby throated hummingbirds arrived during morning! Didn't think we'd get so many later arrivals. This boosted the count in our yard to 10. There was an all day feeding frenzy at the nectar feeders and flowers. Many upward spiraling air battles. I even heard 2 smack beaks in a battle. Activity was pretty amazing! I thought the last hummer to leave would equal last night's quitting time but was one minute shorter at 7:36 tonite.
