Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 09/16/2019

Number: 1000

Amazing array of butterlies coming over Lake St.Clair, many circling to catch thermals and glide south.

Editor's note: contacted observer for more details on this sighting

We were observing for an hour. When we were watching the thermalling, I could see (and counted) more than 75 individuals, in just about 10 minutes. I extrapolated from there. We were seeing multiple individuals at all times, many coming over the water on Lake St. Clair
