Saw a few Monarchs and Painted Ladies as we headed down the driveway. Not our night to chase them.

Got a late start on our drive. Headed toward Sand Lake but spotted this Bald Eagle near Renziehausen Slough. We see them there quite often and have seen a nest just south and west of there.'

Pretty nice day with sunshine even. Very welcome after all the rain we have had. It was in the 70's but humid and there is a low front hanging over us. Weather glass is nearly running over.

Sat by the north bridge at Sand Lake and watched the Western Grebes for a while and got back to the edge of Britton on our way home just as the moon came up. Took a couple shots of that which didn't turn out. Never do.
