I saw one beautiful Monarch at our buddleia bush as early as 9:30 a.m. The day was bright, lovely and warm for mid September in central Michigan. It was nectaring slowly at first but as the sun shone brighter it got more active. It flew off after a time and then returned in the afternoon and another Monarch appeared as well. They seemed to get bothered with each and both flew off and one returned and stayed for several hours until 4:30 p.m.
