Needed to move my milkweed in my yard and transplanted most of my big ones once I believed monarchs hadn't layed eggs. Found two caterpillars and moved them to the transplants as it was too late to save a couple original plants. They both grew and made it through all their stages but one disappeared around the time one chrystalis appeared. Hope is it wandered away to pupate and found a safe space elsewhere. The found chrystalis was watched for over 12 days. When the host plant began going dormant was taken inside as it was dropping to the point of not enough room to dry wings. Will report a captive chrystalis and hopefully tagged butterfly when it hatches and is released
