Today was a very active day at my feeders. I had six or seven sightings of female RT's which is more than I've had in one day since I started seeing hummingbirds in my yard. What I don't know is whether it's one female that's having a lay over in my yard or multiple females that are passing through. I think it might be one female that decided to stop for the day.
Whatever the scenario, each time I saw one she spent a good one or two minutes feeding so she (or they) must've been running on empty.
So sad to see them leave for another year!
