Last monarch catterpillar in a field of young milkweed of recently mown grasses. The plants were around a foot to 2 feet tall, and were loaded with catterpillars last week. I looked at around 60 plants and saw just one little guy just fastening himself to the underside of a leaf. The field was pretty well populated with monarch butterfly adults, as it has been for a few weeks.
