Activity up from last week. I have one very plump ruby-throat visiting and guarding the feeder on my porch. Two what I believe to be juveniles because of their behavior (trying to nectar from plants such as roses and flying up to hover in front of me to check me out) must have just arrived today. They are slimmer and bolder than the two that were here in recent days. The female with the white feathers at the base of her beak who only shows up at the end of the season is still here.
