On the 3 test plants 6 made to healthy looking 5th instars total this week 1 already j-hanging and another pupa on bonest Shockingly there was a 1 fat black corpse on the plants up the hill this time It’s been so dry that the 1 Cinderella A incarnata favored for egg laying hasn’t put out any new growth and I cut it back after checking and finding no eggs on the leaves dotted with fungus The native strain A incarnata is just now getting around to blooming It’s growing well despite the beginning of drought and feeding the last caterpillars of the season
