5:10pm. Sunny, 84 degrees with wind at 14 MPH, ESE. Pretty breezy out there. I counted 19 monarchs feeding around the yard and boulevard. All but one are on New England Aster. One has been feeding on purple verbena and small pink catchfly for several hours and it's still there. I see it buzz around and check the zinnia, cosmos and aster and every time it has returned to those little tiny flowers. I thought maybe it had a problem with its proboscis but it looked like it was all there and working fine. See attached photo.
