I saw 2 Monarchs flying across a lake central Michigan in a westerly direction around 11 am. The wind was calm and it was an unseasonably hot late summer day. Then about a half hour later at noon till about l pm I saw four monarchs nectaring on our butterfly bush. Sometimes 2 would be nectaring closer together and the image I attached shows that.
