6pm and there are 14 monarchs in the garden. It's 81 degrees, with winds at 14 MPH, SSW. There were three monarchs here this a.m. but the numbers started going up in the afternoon. They are feeding on white cosmos, zinnia and New England Aster. I took a pic of a monarch feeding on zinnia. I thought they would go for the freshest blooms but this monarch seemed to like this slightly worn zinnia and spent quite a bit of time feeding on this one flower.
