Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 09/22/2019

Number: 1

We have had 2.25 inches of rain in the last 24 hours. I suspect the migration push has stalled up in northern Iowa.

This monarch was roosting on our honeysuckle bush this morning after flying around for a few minutes.

Temp is 72 with a breeze of 5 miles. We have a cold front due to arrive at 3:00pm today that have winds out of the north at 10 miles or so.

I suspect we may see more activity start to push through this area late today as our peak migration is typically Sept 22-29.
