Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/24/2019

Number: 4

I have had decent number of fall hummers since August. I currently have one adult male Ruby, one juvenile male ruby, and two female ruby's - I possibly have a 5th newcomer and will look again tonight. I really think I saw a Rufous about 10 days ago but it was brief and I haven't seen her again. My hummers made it thru the rain from Imelda and hopefully nothing else too severe will hinder their migration. Replacing the nectar every 2 days to keep it fresh and cool in our warmer weather. I have put out additional feeders so they can rest and fuel up with a little less frenzy. My daughter lives in Granger, Texas and she had 10 hummers over the weekend...I know the most dominant was an adult male Ruby. I love this time of year!
