All this week the Monarchs have emerged from their 7 cocoons in our yard plus we have seen 2+ other ones fluttering through. Yesterday I carefully cut a branch with a cocoon on it & placed it in our insect lore. Left at 4 to pick up the kids & came back at 5:15. The kids noticed right away that it had already emerged. This morning we released it after displaying it.
