We saved a large Monarch caterpillar from the preying mantis that has consumed one adult and one larval monarch this season. Less than 24 hours after we collected the caterpillar, with milkweed, he had made a chrysalis, attached to the top of the jar! Will try to release him in a safe location when he emerges.
