Around 9/10/19, I noticed a monarch cat in an empty pot on my covered patio. It was starting the J, so I moved the pot next to a larger potted bush on my patio and began watching it. Sure enough, the next morning a beautiful green chrysalis was inside the pot. On the morning of 9/20/19, the chrysalis had become quite a bit darker, and by the afternoon when checked, there was this beautiful monarch. It stayed there for several hours. Unfortunately, I missed seeing it fly away, but so glad I saw it right after emerging!
