Night resting spot on tithonia. I had been trying to see where the monarchs were spending the nights, because they kept feeding until dark and reappearing at sunrise. Some disappeared into nearby trees (spruce and hackberry) but this one crawled around and under a leaf on the tithonia. In the very early morning, with a temperature in the 40s,it was still there.
