I found this newly emerged monarch, wings still wet, looking for a place to hang. I put it in a cage until it’s wings were dry. When I released it, it flew directly to this oak tree and proceeded to climb up the trunk. It’s only un hour until the sun sets, so hopefully it plans to roost in the tree overnight.
