Sightings report image

Date: 09/25/2019

Number: 1

The rains have let up, we had some sunshine, windy days. Good for drying the crops. Many, many dragon flies of all sizes. No birds chasing them this year. We have seen only one Night hawk this whole summer which is really sad. There used to be a breeding ground for them a mile and a half south of here. The humidity finally went down too. Temps by day in the 70's in the 50's by night but tonight is going to be colder. Will get the monarchs moving I suppose. I went out a couple nights ago and saw a few roosting in Cottonwood trees up high on the east side out of the wind. Hard to tell how many there were other than the one I saw fly up there. The one in this picture was the last one I have seen in our yard.
